Bryan Klotz is an award-winning, Brooklyn-based woodturner. With an intense passion for fine craftsmanship and over a decade of experience building bespoke furniture, Bryan creates art objects that are complex, yet playful and surprisingly light.
Growing up in the tree-covered hills of Eastern Pennsylvania, Bryan has always shared a deep connection to the unbridled natural world. In 2005, he began to explore the realm of woodworking, which led him to a career in custom furniture. Through this work, Bryan has refined his craft and developed a deep understanding of wood which allows him the complete freedom of creation.
In 2012, Bryan won first-prize for sculpture in Regeneration: Fine Woodworkers Under 30 — a juried exhibition co-produced by Fine Woodworking and the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship (click link to view article).
Klotz continues to create in his Brooklyn studio.
